The Kontiki is a complete redesign of the diver’s watch. The mechanical movement is sealed in a watertight case that anchors to the bridge.
The rubber strap, with a double-folding clasp and wet-suit extension, attaches the watch to the wrist, and a hinged lid links the container and the bridge. This innovative design provides that any unintentional rotation of the bezel increases the apparent dive time, and never decreases it.
If an error occurs, the diver breaks off the dive earlier than required. It is the ideal watch for a safety-critical environment.
The dial is protected under domed sapphire-glass crystal, and is watertight to 1000 meters. The dial is easy to read, with a large luminiscent numbers against a black background, and highly visible hour and minute hands.
If you are looking for a watch that will stand by you 3000 feet down, this is it.
