As a watch-maker Hermes is a relative new-comer. In fact, the company only became a watch-maker after becoming well-known as one of the highest-quality producers of leather watchbands. Rest assured, however, that they are know well-regarded as a top-notch maker of watches themselves. They have now been producing designer watches for over thirty years.
